First Aid – Red Cross ITEC Examinations: Examination Irish Reflexologists Institute Holidays Reflexology is an ancient art practiced for generations in the East and is now widely accepted in our Western Society. Reflexology is one of the most recognized and respected holistic therapies in Ireland. It is a non-invasive hands on therapy in which particular hand techniques are used to work ‘reflex’ points on the feet and hands. These points correspond to the organs and energy meridians within the body. Stimulation of these points has a positive healing effect on the correlating organs. Reflexology is a re-nound its therapeutic effects With the upgrading of holistic therapy training In Ireland you will see that Reflexology is one of the most accepted holistic therapies practiced in the medical field. Many hospitals and health boards employ reflexologists in areas such as cancer care, post operative care etc. The health insurance companies recognize reflexology and if you are an Irish Reflexologist Institute member your client can claim back from VHI, BUPA and VIVAS health care for their reflexology treatment! There is little doubt that Reflexology has become a recognized major therapy in the holistic health field in our nations health care . Therefore an extremely successful career choice is choosing to become a member of the professional associations as a trained reflexologist Why Take two Diplomas? We recommend taking the ITEC Diploma with the Irish Reflexologists' Institute Diploma as when you take the ITEC Anatomy & Physiology and Business modules it means that you will not have to take them again if you wish to add qualifications to your IRI Reflexology Diploma such as Holistic Massage, Aromatherapy etc. All you will need to take is the core course module e.g. (massage).
