This one-year course is intended for those who wish to work as professional Tarot Readers.

The course covers the Tarot in depth together with psychic and personal development training to enable you to act as an intuitive Tarot counsellor. Business and marketing skills are also included so you can become fully equipped to earn a living working with the Tarot.

We do not believe each card has a single meaning, which merely needs to be memorised in order to give readings. Each card can hold a huge variety of meanings, and it requires a combination of knowledge and intuition to fully interpret each them in a reading. We believe the Tarot is a profound and deep meta-spiritual system which offers both a path of personal development and service to others. Many people feel that being a Tarot Reader is part of who they are rather than just something they do. This course offers such an option to those who would choose it.

No experience or knowledge is required in order to attend this course. However, the training is intensive and in-depth and therefore requires commitment and dedication. In addition to attendance in class, case studies, written assignments, and other homework exercises are included. Assessment will take the form of written assignments and a formal examination at the end of the year’s training.

The aim of this course is to train you to an extremely high level. By the end of this course you will have an extremely detailed and broad knowledge of the Tarot together with solid personal and professional Tarot reading skills. You will be fully capable of entering the world of the Professional Tarot Reader with confidence and expertise.

Becoming a Tarot reader of the highest order is more than just learning the cards, it is a journey of personal development.

Course Contents

The course consists of three strands; practical reading techniques, in-depth knowledge of the Tarot itself, and personal development. These strands consist of the following modules:

• Background to the Tarot - Evolution of the Tarot, Major Decks (eg: Waite, Thoth), The Golden Dawn, Impact of Modern Psychoanalysis
• Structure & Dynamics of the Deck - Overview (The Two Arcanas, Court Cards, Number Cards, The Suits), The Major Arcana in Depth, The Minor Arcana in Depth, Papus and the Energetic Interactions in the Deck
• Card Layouts & Spreads - The Major Layouts, Obscure and Special-Purpose Layouts
• Knowledge Systems Inherent in the Cards - Kabbalah, Numerology, Astrology, Mythology
• Developing Your Relationship with the Tarot - Finding Your Special Deck, Connecting with the Cards, Tarot Mediations, the Living Tarot, Becoming a "Reader"
• Psychic Development - Introductory Metaphysics, Psychic Protection, Intuition and Channelling, Space Maintenance
• Advanced Tarot Applications - Mythic Mapping, Psychodrama
• Business Practice - Being in Business, Insurance and Legal Considerations, Record Keeping, Marketing, Counselling VS Reading
• Psychic Energy Management
• Invitation to Sacred Ceremonies - along the Celtic Calendar throughout the year

Psychic Energy Management:

This course is open to all who wish to gain a qualification in energy management and who desire to learn about energy management and self well-being.

Course Structure

Classes take place from 7pm - 10pm Tuesday nights.

Written assignments will cover research into specific aspects of the Tarot. Students will be encouraged to select topics which match their own interests. Students will submit case studies of actual readings done outside class. We will gain extensive practice doing readings within the class.

There will be a exam at the end of the year to test knowledge of key areas, such as Astrology and Kabbalah.

We will also have fun and enjoy ourselves.

Tarot Course Lecturer

Owen Roberts

Owen has studied Tarot, Hermeticism, Kabbalah, Jungian Psychoanalysis, Mythology and Shamanism for over 30 years. Owen developed and teaches our highly successful Diploma in Professional Tarot Reading. Owen is a graduate of the Four Winds Shamanic Institute with certificates in Healing the Light Body and Soul Retrieval. He studied Despacho work under the Peruvian "Paco" (or shaman) Don Sebastian for 3 years and received from him the 3 "Lightning Initiations" which qualify him as a Paco. Owen has also studied psychic healing at the London College of Psychic Studies.

Majella Fagan – College Director

Is the founder of Green Tara and Manager of Heaven & Earth Therapy Centre. Majella is a long established and well known teacher of Reiki, Shamanism, Crystals and Indian Head Massage in Navan. Majella's holds a BA (Arts) & BSC Honours in Psychology, Certificates in Counselling and Further Adult Education from National University Ireland, Maynooth. Holistic Massage (I.T.E.C.), Reflexology (I.R.I.), Diploma in Tarot, IHM (ITEC), Hot Stone Massage (ITEC) Traditional Reiki (Usui), Sekiem, Sekhem, Shamanism (Core, Celtic and Inca traditions, Four Winds), Kinesiology, Hopi Ear Candling (Auricular Academy), Crystal Therapy and Certified to teach Diana Cooper Angel workshops . Majella has been teaching for over fifteen years and works from a spiritual perspective always.
