Aiden is a practicing complementary therapist and offers nutritional advice as a separate therapy as well as combining it with his practical therapies by giving beneficial homecare advice to aid the health of his clients. Aiden’s passion for all aspects of food has led him to become involved in the promotion of the awareness of the benefits to healthy eating by writing articles, detox and diet plans etc for magazines and health food shops. Aiden is an ITEC approved tutor.
Aiden is constantly attending courses, seminars, talks and further education programmes in order to improve his subject knowledge. Nutrition is an ever changing and evolving subject – it is a relatively young science and as such new discoveries are constantly being found. This course aims to give students the knowledge to be able to make intelligent decisions about their and their client’s food choices. Healthy eating and lifestyle doesn't’t just impact a person’s weight – all aspects of their health are affected – energy, mood, focus, concentration, emotion, hormones, fitness, intelligence, enthusiasm etc. are all improved, as well as physical health.
Aiden’s aim, within the framework of the ITEC course syllabus, is to educate students as to the reasons for healthy food choices. Helping them to avoid the pitfalls of misinformed and misguided ‘faddy’ diets while encouraging the development of their enthusiasm for proper dietary habits that promote lifelong healthy eating.
